Principal's Message
I am honoured to acknowledge that the Abbotsford Virtual School is located on the traditional and unceded territory of the Stó:lō people, the Semá:th and Mathxwí First Nation. With this, we respect the longstanding relationships that Indigenous Nations have to this land, as they are the original caretakers.
We acknowledge historical and ongoing injustices that Indigenous Peoples endure in Canada, and we accept responsibility as a public educational institution to contribute toward revealing and correcting miseducation as well as renewing respectful relationships with Indigenous communities through our teaching and community engagement.

As Principal, it is my privilege to work alongside dedicated educators, supportive families, and motivated learners in an environment designed for flexibility, connection, and success. Our school reflects the evolving nature of education—one that embraces innovation while remaining deeply committed to student well-being and achievement.
Online learning offers unique opportunities. Students can learn at their own pace, revisit concepts as needed and engage with curriculum in ways that suit their individual strengths and interests. At the same time, we recognize that learning is fundamentally about relationships. Our teachers prioritize meaningful connection, offering guidance, feedback, and encouragement to ensure each student feels seen, supported, and capable.
