Online Secondary Classes

Summer June 29- July 24

Online Summer Session 2026 (June 29 - July 24)

Registration is open from May 4 - June 14

AVS is happy to offer summer session again this year. All courses are online, self-paced and students are allowed to register for 1 course only for Summer Session. Mid-term and final exams will be written at the AVS building (33952 Pine Street Abbotsford) in July and are booked through the course teacher.

Graduated adults and school aged secondary students are eligible. Student with in-progress courses at AVS can continue to work on them during the summer session IF that course is offered during the summer session. It takes approximately 100 - 120 hours to complete one course, so a student would need to work on a course full time (roughly five hours a day) to complete it fully during the summer session.

Students who do not complete their course can continue working on it in September 2026, but all teachers are off in August, so it is not possible to complete a course or write an exam during August.

IMPORTANT: AVS is offers online grade 10-12 courses in a Summer Session, to cross enrolled students and graduated adults. SD34 Secondary Summer School and AVS Online Summer Session are NOT the same program and have different registration processes, and procedures, though both are part of SD34, and offer many of the same courses/credits. Please check that you are registering for the correct program as links to both are available on the SD34 website and the AVS website.
