Julia Hiebert

Julia began working with at-risk youth in group home settings but soon felt drawn to education as a means of providing skills that would help young people become successful in the adult world.  She moved to the Abbotsford School District just as thoughts of “virtual” schooling were being conceived.  She has found it exciting to see curriculum and modes of presentation adapted or modified to meet the learning needs of students with a variety of challenges.  During her time at AVS she has enjoyed the opportunity of working one-on-one with students at all grade levels, building relationships and looking for strengths to help them succeed at school and in life.
