Wayne Morris

Secondary Teacher - Grade 9 Humanities/Music Programs

Wayne has been teaching in the Abbotsford School District for 25 years.  A former band teacher at Abbotsford Junior and Senior he was fortunate to have many of his groups compete at the national level at MusicFest Canada.  After completing his Graduate work in Education at UVic in 1995, Wayne made his way to the classroom at W.J. Mouat and Robert Bateman Secondary where he spread his skills teaching varied subjects in the Humanities and the Fine Arts.  Wayne got involved with online teaching in the early days of AVS (then AES) in the late 1990s, when the program was composed of only two staff, 45 students, and a myriad of courses covering 12 grades.  AVS has come a long way since then, and Wayne has continued to hone his skills in the DL world offering his students expertise and support for the humanities and music.  Wayne is a dedicated hockey dad and an avid writer and performer of music.
